Membership and local chapter activities
Our members gain access to knowledge and a network in a simple and effective way. We have more than 300 elected officers with a high level of expertise, and who are well rooted in the industry.
Members have full access to our website, which provides an overview of all conferences and meetings, lists of all elected officers, and not least most of the papers given at our conferences.
Meetings organised for members by the local chapters serve as important informal fora for professional discussion and exchange of knowledge – independent of financial and political interests. These meetings and the conferences also provide a useful point of entry for newly-qualified personnel and students who want to forge contacts with the industry.
Conferences
We represent an industry which poses major technological and professional challenges. At the same time, this sector plays a substantial economic and political role in Norway.
The conferences we organise have therefore become the most important arena in the country for network building and exchange of current knowledge within the petroleum activity.
We organise about 20 different conferences every year. In addition come a number of smaller conferences and meetings staged by our 11 local chapters.
