The Biennial Geophysical Seminar 2014
The Norwegian Petroleum Society welcomes You to the traditional three day geophysical seminar in Kristiansand, highlighting recent achievements, changes and new developments in geophysical techniques relevant to the petroleum industry.
Despite recent major discoveries offshore Norway, shale oil and shale gas: The World is becoming increasingly dependent on oil produced from fields past their peak production and the oil industry has not fully succeeded in finding new reserves to balance the increased demand.
This Year’s seminar will address the need to explore for more subtle traps, both in mature and frontier areas. It will also highlight how development and applications of new geophysical acquisition, processing and interpretation techniques can increase the recovery rates and efficiency for the producing fields.
