Mr. Aamot has more than 20 years of experience from the oil and gas industry, mainly from different roles in the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Since 2009 he has been the Director General for Oil and Gas in the Ministry.

Mr. Aamot obtained his Cand Oecon degree from University of Oslo, Norway in 1996. He joined the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy working with issues related to Norwegian petroleum and environmental policies. In 2000 he joined Statkraft as Senior Economist. In 2001 Norsk Hydro AS as a Senior Investment Analyst working with business development and follow-up of its activities in US, Libya and Russia. He returned to the Ministry as Deputy Director with responsibility of Economic Analysis in 2002. Between 2004 and 2007 he was the Counselor for Energy at the Norwegian embassy in Washington DC.

Eduard has been a Senior Energy Modeler with DNV’s Energy Transition Outlook team since 2023. He served as Project Manager for DNV’s latest report, Energy Transition Outlook: CCS to 2050. Before joining DNV, Eduard earned his PhD in System Dynamics from the University of Bergen, where he explored low-carbon futures with and without carbon capture and storage (CCS). He has also contributed to two major European research projects, providing system dynamics modeling expertise for a range of applications, from sustainability to public health.

She was hired as an Assistant director in 2021. Before this, she had more than 20 years of experience from Equinor, including as Director of exploration for the Norwegian and UK shelf. She has led multiple departments within exploration and specialist functions, and has held various positions within subsurface and geology throughout the value chain in Equinor. Kjersti holds the equivalent of a master's degree in geology from the University of Bergen.

Vetle Houg has more than 20 years of experience in the cement and concrete industry, most of the time within communication and dissemination. For four years, he headed the industry association Byggutengrenser, which later merged into Betongfokus, now part of Betong Norge. Since 2018, he has also served as chair of the jury for the Betongtavlen award. Since 2022, he has been Head of Sustainability at Heidelberg Materials in Norway

Sidsel Lindsø, founder of Ecteras Subsurface Experts, is a geologist and CO₂ storage expert who helps clients unlock value and reduce risk in subsurface projects.

Based in Norway for over 15 years, she and her team in Ecteras supports energy companies, CCS license partners, investors, and public authorities in exploration and CO₂ storage. Known for her curiosity and cross-disciplinary collaboration, Lindsø advocates for deep subsurface knowledge to solve complex challenges and to form basis for sound financial investment decisions.

Anders Melhus is CCS Commercial Lead at Vår Energi, responsible for developing the company’s CO₂ storage business, including the Trudvang project. He has extensive experience in CO₂ transport and storage, previously serving as Government Relations Manager at Altera Infrastructure and Project Coordinator for the EUR 225 million EU Innovation Fund grant for the Havstjerne Project. Anders has worked across regulatory, commercial, and stakeholder interfaces in large-scale CCS development, with a focus on building viable business models for offshore CO₂ storage in the North Sea.

Kevin is a geologist of background and is a pioneer working on CCS in Norway. Over the last years he has built Harbour Energy’s storage licence portfolio in Norway. His work includes establishing a commercial sustainable value chain around Habour’s storage licenses, with focus on Havstjerne, which also has received funding from the EU innovation fund. As of today, the Harbour is amongst the most prominent CCS players in Europe, with storage licences in three countries, which gives the company a unique insight in the industry’s development across Europe. Kevin is also actively contributing in establishing functional and efficient framework conditions for this new industry, both in Norway and in the EU.

Sveinung Hagen has 25 years of experience at Equinor, holding various technical and leadership roles. Since 2007, he has worked on CCS business development and spent nearly a decade in the research department focusing on CCS safety. He is now responsible for accessing new CO2-storage licenses in Equinor’s Low Carbon Solutions unit.

Ørjan Jentoft joined Aker BP in 2023 where he assumed the role of heading up the CCS Business
After graduating with a master’s degree (MSc) in petroleum engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Ørjan was 30 years with ExxonMobil in a variety of roles including technical, commercial, project, managerial and executive positions. He has extensive international experience from multiple expatriate assignments and cross-border roles
With ExxonMobil’s divestment of Norway upstream YE 2019, Ørjan transferred to Vår Energi where he joined the Executive Management Team and headed up the Partner-operated business, and later their Subsurface Organization.

Gudmundur holds a Master's degree in Process Technology from the University of Bergen. He joined Gassco in 2009 and has primarily worked within the technology domain, holding management positions in Research and Development, as well as Information and Communications Technology. In 2022, Gudmundur transitioned to a role in Business Development at Gassco, focusing on the development of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) value chains.

Chemical Engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in Aker Solutions, including position as Project Director for Johan Sverdrup EPma and for international projects. Langholm has previously served as Department Manager for Aker Solutions’ CCUS and Project Director for the Norcem CCS project.

Julia Lindland has 25 years of international industrial experience from Yara, Hydro and Eramet. She made history as Yara’s first female plant manager outside Norway leading the ammonia and urea production site in Brunsbüttel, Germany. Julia has broad CCS experience from Gassnova during design of TCM and Mongstad full-scale CCS project. She started in Eramet as plant manager in Porsgrunn,and is since 2024 developing Eramet’s CCUS projects.

Ragnhild Skagestad is a senior research scientist at SINTEF INDUSTRY, located in Porsgrunn, and the Project Manager of the project “ CO2 logistic in the Northern part of Norway”. She holds a master’s in mechanical engineering from 2004, and she has been working with CCS topics since 2006. Her main area of interest is CO2 transportation, logistic, and full chain possibilities and also techno economic analysis and scale up.
She will share insights on the current work and preliminary findings of the project, emphasizing the challenges and opportunities for the industry up in the North.

Roman BERENBLYUM holds a PhD (2004) from Danish Technical University. Since 2006 Romans work focused on carbon dioxide utilisation and storage. Dr Berenblyum also worked on geothermal energy, hydrogen and IOR / EOR project. Romans interest lies on PVT, fluid properties and reservoir simulation. Roman is currently serving as a member of the CO2GeoNet Executive Committee. Hehas been involved in and coordinated multidisciplinary research and industry-oriented projects in Norway, Middle East, Latin America and USA.

Professor in petrology at the Dept. for geosciences, University of Oslo. He has long experience with research on the consequences of volcanic and metamorphic processes in sedimentary basins, including climate change and mass extinctions. Leader of a new Vista centre (called VICCO) for further understanding the potential for permanent CO2 storage in volcanic-sedimentary systems.

Dr. Sarah Gasda is Research Director and Chief Scientist in Computational Geosciences at NORCE and holds a Professor II position at Dept of Physics and Technology at University of Bergen. She holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Princeton University. She is currently the director of the Centre for Sustainable Subsurface Resources (CSSR), a national research centre with funding from the NFR Petrosenter program. CSSR will provide new knowledge to enable the green transition within Norwegian petroleum industry, including conversion of fields to CO2 and hydrogen energy storage. CSSR involves multidisciplinary collaborations involving international researchers in several countries.
Dr. Gasda has research expertise in computational methods and modeling of multiphase flow in porous media with particular focus on solving engineering challenges in geological CO2 storage, underground hydrogen storage, and reservoir simulation. Dr. Gasda's research interests address the intersection between disciplines: geological characterization and computational simulation, lab-based petrophysical understanding and multiphase flow modeling, social sciences and engineering. She is currently serving as Associate Editor for the International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control and is active board member of GeoEnergy, a journal of The Geological Society.

Ole Rom Andersen is Chief Innovation Officer at Greenport North in Denmark and, over the past three years, has been a key member of the Greenport Scandinavia CCS team. The team’s objective is to establish a 5–20 MTA CO₂ import/export terminal at the Port of Hirtshals with direct pipeline and shipping connections to two offshore and two onshore storage sites. CO₂ emitters demand redundancy, low €/ton operational costs, and the lowest possible carbon footprint—criteria that form the foundation of this development.

Within Greenport Scandinavia, he is driving the transformation of the Port of Hirtshals into a leading European CO₂ import and export hub, offering end-to-end transport and storage contracts. This one-stop-shop solution will provide documented, secure, and cost-effective storage of CO₂, accelerating the green transition.

Soeren Reinhold Poulsen holds a M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering. He has been working within the Oil and Gas Upstream business for more than 25 years in Denmark and internationally. Started as a drilling engineer, transitioned into becoming a Reservoir Engineer and has during the last 15 years been involved in large capital projects within project management and general Asset management. During the recent 4 years main focus, as Head of CCS, has been on supporting development of INEOS Energy’s Danish CCS portfolio including (1) the Greensand first commercial CO2 offshore storage project, Future 1, with expected COD in Q2, 2026 and (2) the Greenstore CO2 onshore storage project currently undergoing seismic acquisition efforts, further drilling of appraisal wells in 2026/27 and relevant midstream infrastructure maturation with anticipated start-up in 2030 provided appraisal and derisking results and offtake contracts warrants so.

Alistar Tucker has 25 years of Oil and gas experience. He holds a degrees in Geology and a Masters in Petroleum Geology. His career started as a Petroleum Engineer working in the North Sea. Al has held various technical and managerial roles across Shell globally and most recently in the UK as Manager for the Penguins Project / Brent field and the Brent Charlie Platform.
Currently Alistar Tucker is GM CCUS in Shell, with responsibility to develop and mature Shell’s CCUS portfolio in Europe through multiple project positions in Uk, Netherlands, and in Norway as the chairman of Northern Lights.

Sigrid Borthen Toven is Vice President Low Carbon Solutions at Equinor, heading up the LCS Excellence unit.
She has worked at Equinor since 1996 in different professional and leadership positions. She started her career as an exploration geologist, and has later held leadership positions within Exploration, Field development, Investment arena, as well as being the Manager of Licensing policy in Offshore Norway. The latest years she has been working with low carbon solutions.
She holds a Candidate of Science Degree in geology from the University of Bergen, Norway.
