The Kristiansand Conference in Drilling & Well 2026
The 39th Kristiansand Conference in Drilling & Well
21 – 23 September 2026
Radisson Blu Caledonien Hotel Kristiansand
INVITATION TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT
Norwegian Petroleum Society invites you to contribute to the 39th Kristiansandkonferansen — the most influential meeting place for drilling and well professionals in Norway since 1983. Every year, industry experts gather here to share insights, challenge established thinking and showcase solutions and experiences that move the industry forward.
In 2026, the spotlight is on innovation, smarter processes and real operational experience — the drivers we need to deliver drilling and well operations that are safer, more efficient and more cost‑effective.
As Norway works to maintain production levels and support Europe’s energy needs, smarter drilling and well operations are more important than ever. Smaller discoveries, tighter economics and aging fields call for new ideas, new technologies and new collaborations.
This is your opportunity to influence conversation.
What we are looking for
We invite abstracts that bring fresh perspectives, proven improvements, and honest learnings. Contributions may include — but are not limited to:
- New fields: Efficient, safe and profitable development of smaller discoveries
- Existing fields: Integrity, lifetime extension, reuse and keeper-well strategies
- Completions & interventions: Smarter solutions for both platform and subsea wells
- Tight & HPHT reservoirs: Effective solutions, including stimulation and fracking approaches
- Slot recovery and Plug & Abandonment: Cost‑efficient, safe methods and new concepts
- Case histories: Real operational experience — successes and failures
- Next‑generation workflows: Automation, digitalization, AI and enhanced planning
- Any other impactful ideas relevant to drilling and wells
If it can advance our industry — we want to hear about it.
