The 22nd North Sea Decommissioning Conference
Welcome to the
22nd North Sea Decommissioning Conference 2023
The Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) and the program committee have great pleasure in inviting you to the 22nd North Sea Decommissioning Conference in Stavanger,
6 – 8 February 2023.
Few will remember, and most will be surprised, but 2023 will see the 22nd edition of the NPF North Sea Decommissioning Conference. As an issue that has justified a professional conference for more than 20 years, with a global annual spend in the billions of dollars there can be no doubt that decommissioning is a mature business. Despite this maturity, we must continue to evolve established practices to become more efficient, and safer and deliver against higher standards of social responsibility.
Accordingly, the NPF North Sea Decommissioning Conference has also evolved from helping navigate the blank page of “how do we do this?” to address the relevant issues of the day with a distinct emphasis on the depth of insight provided by the participation of industry leaders and its most knowledgeable and credible experts.
Previous participants have confirmed the conference’s reputation as a first-class forum for lessons sharing and networking with fellow operators, regulators, stakeholders and supply chain.
This year’s program will address emerging societal interest and regulatory perspectives, new technology developments, project execution lessons and consideration of challenges the industry faces. The emphasis will continue to be the analysis and sharing of high-impact lessons.
We hope that you will consider attending and are confident that your participation will enhance your knowledge and business opportunities within decommissioning.
Welcome!
On behalf of the program committee,
Anthony Fievez (Chair)
