Offshore Pipelines & Risers 2016
The Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) is once again hosting its traditional two day Offshore Pipelines and Risers conference in Trondheim. The biennial conference has for two decades been the most popular meeting and knowledge-sharing venue for the Norwegian offshore pipeline and riser industry.
New Technology and Smarter Solutions is the theme of this year’s conference!
Even though the subsea market is in the midst of a tough period, the oil and gas business will continue to be the most important industry in Norway for decades to come. Given a lower oil price, it is important for the future success of the industry to have focus on innovation and cost effective solutions, challenge old “truths” and practices and find more efficient ways to design, install and operate pipeline systems. Technology and knowledge sharing, including failures, are key elements in maintaining the competitive edge.
We have now received many abstracts of high quality, within the topics of Design, Installation and Operation of Rigid and Flexible Pipelines and Risers. After thorough consideration the committee has now chosen who will present at our conference, and we are very pleased to see such a wide variety in the difference companies presenting this year.
The programme is now published under the tab Programme and the conference is now ready for registration.
