Oil & Finance 2011
Oil & Finance: The E&P industry back on track
The E&P industry has regained strength and is experiencing a positive sentiment with easier access to capital and increasing commodity prices. Investments in exploration and field development have picked up and the M&A market is expected to return in 2011. However, uncertainty with regard to the global macro picture persists and E&P companies must take measures to manage this risk.
The programme for the third Oil & Finance Conference will explore many of these topics in detail.
Day 1 of the conference will focus on the Global Macro perspective with presentations covering both the general macro outlook and energy perspectives, followed by the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy presenting their view on challenges on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
The second session will be opened by Jarand Rystad focusing on Global E&P trends and Bengt Lie Hansen of Selmer will share his insight into The Arctic seen from a Russian perspective. The day will finish off with case studies.
Day 2 of the conference will focus on Financing of E&P companies. BAHR will present legal considerations for the E&P industry and ABG Sundal Collier will make a presentation on the bond market. The conference will finish with a presentation by Odin, a leading Norwegian investor, on what characterises an interesting investment opportunity.
The Oil & Finance Conference is a unique opportunity to learn from acknowledged experts in the oil and finance field on current industry trends and challenges. It is also a great networking opportunity, which gathered over 100 professionals last year. In the evening there will be ample opportunity to talk with colleagues from the oil and finance industry during a wine tasting at Lysebu and subsequent dinner.
