The 14th North Sea Decommissioning Conference 2014
On behalf of the Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 14th annual NPF North Sea Decommissioning Conference at the Solstrand Hotel from 10th-12th February 2014.
The conference will provide a unique forum to learn from operators about their activities and plans and authorities will address current issues related to decommissioning activities. The programme has been established with the aim to provide the conference participants with an overview of current technology developments and challenges within decommissioning. Building on last year’s conference, a P&A session has also been included this year.
This conference, with its first class venue, continues to be recognized by industry as the premier decommissioning gathering.
The Programme Committee has established an up to date programme which we hope you will find interesting, informative and useful. The exceptional facilities of the Solstrand Hotel will provide for an efficient conference and an excellent atmosphere for networking.

Conference fee:
NPF personal members NOK 9.300,- plus 25% vat
Non-NPF-members NOK 10.300,- plus 25% vat
Students have free access to the conference, however, payments to be made for lunches and conference dinner.
The fee includes:
– Coffee/tea
– Lunches
– Conference Dinner
– Access to the presentations after end of conference
– Bus transportation to the airport at the end of the conference
Payment:
Payment can be done upon registration by credit card (Master Card and Visa)
If not paid by creditcard you will receive an invoice from Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF).
Cancellations:
Cancellations must be received in writing by 30th January 2014 and will be subject to a NOK 1.000,- cancellation fee unless a substitute delegate is offered. After this date, the full registration fee will apply, however, substitutions will still be accepted. Substitutions for registered delegates may be made at any time, but we would appreciate prior notification.
This also goes for canselling the hotel. Full fee to be paid after 30th January 2014.
Conference paper:
Presentations from the conference will be available on Internet after end of conference. Delegates will be informed when available by e-mail.
Programme changes:
It is sometimes necessary to change timing of the programme. The conference organizer will not be liable for any such unavoidable changes.
Accommodation:
Solstrand Hotel & Bad, Os (near Bergen), Norway, NOK 1.625,- per night (incl. vat) including breakfast, to be paid direct to the hotel.
The Bjørnefjord Gjestetun, close by Solstrand Hotel & Bad. NOK 1.340,- per night (incl. vat) to be paid direct to the hotel upon departure.
Transportation:
There will be arranged for bus transportation from Bjørnefjorden Gjestetun on Monday afternoon to take everybody who stays there over to Solstrand Hotel – in time for registration and conference start.
There will also be arranged transportation from Solstrand Hotel to the airport on Wednesday – when the conference has ended.
