The 16th Field Reservoir Management Conference 2011

STAVANGER

NPF’s conference on Field Reservoir Management in Stavanger is the annual event where the subsurface community get together to share best practises and new technologies within the reservoir management discipline. Reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, geologists and geophysicists use this opportunity to network and get an update on the latest reservoir developments and challenges on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Invited speakers will also share highlights from outside Norway. This year the talks are grouped under the four main themes:  “IOR”, “New field developments”,” Technology that makes the difference” , “Uncertainty & Decision-making” and “Tail-end production”.

As in previous years, field examples will comprise an important part of the conference; There will be talks from Alvheim, Marulk, Jordbær, Hild, Morvin, Ormen Lange and several other fields.

Bente Nyland, director of NPD, will introduce the conference and hand out the NPD’s IOR prize. The distinguished winner will be invited to give a speech related to the activity they have been awarded the IOR prize for. The introductory session will also include a talk on progress related to the recommendations in the Åm report (Increased recovery on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, MPE).

The Conference Dinner will be held at Flor and Fjære at the island of Sør Hidle, a perfect place to catch up with colleagues or invite your JV partnership for a social event before the summer vacation starts.
