The 16th North Sea Decommissioning Conference 2016

oslo

The 16th North Sea Decommissioning Conference

On behalf of the Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 16th Annual NPF North Sea Decommissioning Conference from 15th –  17th February 2016.

NOTE: For conference regsitration after Thursday 11th February everybody who wants a hotel room must contact the hotel directly. Tel: +47 22 92 20 00

This year the conference has moved to Oslo and the Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel which enables us to host more participants than previous arrangements. In addition to being a good arena for the conference, it provides for many opportunities for local recreation; – amongst them skiing.

The 2016-programme has been composed to shed light on the effect of the current low oil-price environment on the decommissioning market. The programme committee has established a varied program covering the entire decommissioning process for wells and facilities. It also addresses market outlook, project lessons learnt and current and future challenges in the decommissioning industry.

An international gathering of representatives from authorities and the industry, including both contractors and operators, will share their thoughts, plans and learnings during this two day conference. In the afternoon of the first day, break-out sessions are scheduled to put a focus on some specific aspects of decommissioning.

Although the main programme commences on Tuesday morning, we recommend everyone joins on the Monday evening to enjoy an “appetizer” presentation and to explore the facilities of the Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel.

We hope that you’ll find the programme interesting and that your participation at the conference will both reveal some new opportunities and establish new and improved business relations.
We look forward to seeing you in Oslo in February; – with or without skis!

Regards
Dag Roar Johansen
Chair, Programme Committee
