The 17th International Petroleum Tax Conference 2006

Oslo

Welcome to
The 17th International Petroleum Tax Conference in Oslo

The Annual International Petroleum Tax Conference in Oslo to be arranged 26th. – 27th. October 2006. Early registration saves you NOK 1.000,-.

Times rarely get more interesting than right now in the international oil and gas Industry. High and volatile prices, energy security, resource availability, diversity and Industry profitability have pushed energy to the top of the political and economic agenda across the globe. The industry faces unprecedented scrutiny, consumer unpopularity, nationalisation of its assets, accelerating cost inflation and shortage of physical and human resources. The spotlight is increasingly focussed on upstream tax, some countries have already increased Industry taxes and others are considering following suit, what are the consequences for industry investment and basin competitiveness in Europe and beyond?

Russia is now the world’s largest producer of oil & gas and its energy policies will impact energy consumers on every continent for decades to come. The role of Russia in meeting Europe’s future energy requirements is the subject of much debate as are its policies towards the contribution of foreign investment in assisting Russia to develop its world class hydrocarbon potential.

The 17th International Petroleum Tax Conference will address these themes with contributions from a wide range of Industry experts in the fiscal and energy field. The conference presents a unique opportunity to refresh your knowledge of Industry trends and network with colleagues and experts from Norway and further afield.
