The 17th North Sea Decommissioning Conference 2017
The 17th North Sea Decommissioning Conference
On behalf of the Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF), it’s my great pleasure to invite you to the 17th North Sea Decommissioning Conference at Holmenkollen, Oslo.
This conference, with its first class venue, continues to be recognized by industry as the premier international decommissioning gathering where representatives from authorities and industry gather to be updated on latest developments within decommissioning.
The 2017- programme provides updates on authorities’ view on various aspects of decommissioning, including a key speech from the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Norway. Oil & Gas UK will present an overview of the future market in Norway and UK. This information combined with the session where plans for specific projects are addressed, should provide the attendees with a good basis for planning of future business opportunities.
Safety and environment are fundamental performance factors within the decommissioning projects and the programme addresses both lessons learned and new issues within this focus-area.
A session on Well P&A has also been included. In addition to high-level description of technologies used by different operators, significant industry cooperation in this area will be addressed.
We’ll finalize the programme with project updates from ongoing and recently completed projects where more learning points are shared.
Monday evening registration is recommended whereby you may enjoy an “appetizer” presentation and settle in before the main program starts on Tuesday morning.
We hope that you’ll find the programme interesting and that your participation at the conference will enhance your knowledge and your business opportunities within decommissioning.
We look forward to seeing you in Holmenkollen in February!
Regards
Dag Roar Johansen
