Young Energy Conference 2025!

The Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) is pleased to welcome you to
THE conference of the year for young energy professionals!

The Young Energy Conference is a nationwide event for young people aged 35 years or younger who are studying or working in the energy industry.  Our goal is to empower you—the young energy professionals—with the knowledge, networks, and insights needed to drive the future of energy!

This year’s conference will be hosted by SLB at Vella (K8) in Stavanger and will delve into four pivotal topics that influence our industry. These sessions are designed to inspire, challenge, and equip you with the tools to make a significant impact. Moreover, Young Energy 2025 will be the place to meet other ambitious professionals and build a powerful network that will drive your career forward.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Navigating the Global Energy Market: Trends and Geopolitics

The global energy market is being reshaped by shifting demand patterns, emerging technologies, and geopolitical tensions that affect availability, pricing, and security. In this session, we will hear from experts on upstream trends on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and explore how geopolitical forces are influencing the future of energy security.

Reshaping the oil and gas industry: Digitalization, Automation and Optimization

From digital twins to automated platforms, technology is rapidly redefining how the oil and gas industry operates. In this session, we will dive into the practical impacts of digitalization, automation, and optimization, and examining how they are changing the way we operate.

What will the Oil and Gas Industry of the Future Look Like?

What lies ahead for the oil and gas industry in a world increasingly shaped by sustainability goals and the energy transition? We ask an industry panel and politicians to share their perspectives on the future role of oil and gas, exploring how the sector can adapt, remain competitive, and contribute to a balanced energy mix in the years to come.

Empowering Your Energy Career: Growth and Networking

This session is dedicated to your professional development. Gain insights into essential skills, continuous learning, and networking strategies. Our speakers will share their best advice and diverse perspectives to help you navigate and advance your career in the energy industry. Finally, we will conclude with a Young Professional panel, sharing their experiences with YP-engagement.
