We welcomed all participants to a Core Viewing and Icebreaker at Stratum Reservoir the day before the conference! More than 100 people attended looking at thin sections of cores which provide valuable information about an area’s geology and the petroleum reservoir’s properties. Also enjoying tapas and good conversations with colleagues. Thank you to INPEX Idemitsu and Aker BP, who sponsored the Icebreaker this year!
This year’s Exploration Revived gathered 235 conference delegates. The Exploration Revived Award 2023 was given to Vår Energi at the evening conference dinner.
The conference ended with voting for the best talk of the conference. The winner was “The Melstein well and its results; Part of the journey exploring the Frøya High” – presented by Steve Thomas, Seismic Interpreter, Aker BP ASA.
