Reservoir Characterization 2021
Welcome to
Biennial Reservoir Characterization Conference 2021, Stavanger
Getting the basics right: The impact of reservoir characterization on key business decisions.
Stay safe!
The Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) strives to make everyone feel safe at our conferences.
At this event, we will ensure sufficient distance between the seats, have antibac available and offer face masks for all participants.
NPF follow the situation closely and we adapt our events according to regulations given by the authorities. We remind you to stay at home in case of illness, and to test yourself if you have any symptoms.
Basic reservoir characterization, together with new technologies and recent advantages in digitalization, are fundamental factors for making good business decisions in exploration and reservoir development. This conference aims to present case studies where multidisciplinary and integrated approaches to reservoir characterization has enhanced our knowledge and created new insight of the subsurface.
The conference will run over two days, split into four sessions
- Sedimentology, diagenesis and reservoir quality
- Structural reservoir characterization
- Integrated reservoir characterization – the key to understanding uncertainty
- Unusual reservoirs
Core viewing Monday night will have presentations from the following cores:
- NOAKA fields
- Ivar Aasen
- Balder
- Edvard Grieg
- Maria
- CoreDNA Disruptive Core Analysis
- HCS Hydro Carbon Scanning demonstration
Special Offer for Young Professionals:
Bring a colleague under 30 for half price! Participant no. 2 or more under the age of 30 from the same employer receives a 50% discount on the conference fee. Contact the project manager tonje.raknes@npf.no for registration.
We look forward welcoming students to Reservoir Characterization!
Thank you to Vår Energi that have sponsored student participation this year! We welcome students to apply for admission to our popular Reservoir Characterization conference.
Students, senior year / Master / PhD can apply for free admission to the conference. To be applicable you must be a student at a Norwegian university or university college. The free admission includes conference participation both days, conference dinner, and ice-breaker.
Applications can be sent to tonje.raknes@npf.no
We look forward to welcoming you to Sola, Stavanger in September!
