Welcome to the 25th Field Development Conference
(13) 14 – 15 February 2023
Conference language: English
Field Development for the Future – Norway as Energy Supplier
It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our 25th Field Development Conference in Bergen. Do not miss this opportunity to exchange knowledge and to network with key contributors within early phase field development as well as project execution.
Since the last two-day Field Development Conference in February 2020, we have experienced a pandemic, restricted access to material and human resources in projects, implementation of new tax incentives from the Norwegian Government, large fluctuations in oil and gas prices and more. Several operators have submitted PDO’s during 2022 and some will present their selected field development solutions in the coming conference.
The State Budget 2023 includes a decision to postpone the 26th licensing round until 2025. At the same time Norway will continue to be a main supplier of energy for many years ahead. The focus on energy transition will become increasingly important and the traditional field development experiences and competencies will support this transition. At the same time all development projects need to seriously address consequences that activities will have on climate. We will debate how we manage these additional challenges and deliver field development solutions for the future.
Change of language
The Field Development Conference (Feltutviklingskonferansen) have traditionally been conducted with presentations in Norwegian. Due to increasingly international focus and English as business language within the industry, we have decided to change the presentation language to english this year. To better adjust to the audience during the conference we will ask all participants to select their prefered language in the registration process. Thank you!
“Ice-breaker” – 13 February
For participants arriving the evening before the conference, there will be an informal “ice-breaker” with some food & drinks. NOK 500 per person. The program committee hope you will join us for this social gathering and networking opportunity.
