Field Development Conference 2023

Amund Vik was appointed State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy on 14 October 2021.

Mr. Vik has worked for the Norwegian Labor Party since 2010, first as a political adviser in the parliamentary group and then as head of the political department in the party organization. Prior to this, he worked as a consultant in Nordic Energy Research.

Amund Vik has a BA in Political Science and Economics from NTNU and an MSc in Political Science from the University of Oslo.

Anders Høgalmen works as Head of Public Affairs at Offshore Norge. Before the 2021-election, Anders worked for the Conservative Party in Parliament and as a Political Adviser in Erna Solberg's government. Anders also has experience as a public affairs consultant.

Sverre Gravdahl is heading the section “Projects & Operations Risk Advisory” in DNV Energy Systems. He has been with DNV for 10 years, spending the first 8 working with oil & gas companies in Russia maneuvering through sanctions and the energy transition. Before joining DNV, he worked as an investment analyst for Orkla ASA, with special focus on the oil & gas sector in Russia. He has a deep interest in Russia and Russian history, and speaks Russian fluently.

Borghild Lunde joined Aibel on 1 August 2019. She has 30 years of experience from ABB, where she has held several leadership positions within strategy, sales, projects and R&D. She has considerable experience from project deliveries to international oil companies within offshore and subsea field development and operations. Borghild is a chartered engineer from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Trond Bokn has worked for Equinor since 1994. He is currently Head of Project Development, accountable for all project development deliveries in Equinor spanning from early phase, including execution up until start-up of operations. Previously he has held several leadership positions within the project development area, including project director Johan Sverdrup, project director Valemon, Project manager Gjøa, positions within early phase development, subsea and pipeline projects and responsible for the international & renewable project portfolio. Trond holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

Arild Gjerstad has worked for Equinor since 2002. He is currently Project Director for Oseberg Gas Capacity Upgrade and Power from Shore Project. Previously he has held several leadership positions within project development as project manager, portfolio manager and head of construction and commissioning resources in Equinor projects.

Vedad Hadziavdic is Project Manager for Maria Phase 2 – Revitalisation. He joined Wintershall Dea in 2014 and has worked as geophysicist and subsurface manager prior taking the current position. He has PhD in statistical physics.

Peter started his career in Aker Solutions followed by Aibel, joint Hydro Technology and Projects in 1997 and Equinor in 2007. He held several project management positions nationally and internationally. He was heading the Njord Future Project from 2015 to 2021 in Equinor, he joined Aker BP early in 2022 as Project Director for PWP-Fenris Project and has recently entered a position as Project Director for Yggdrasil Fixed Facilities and Filed Integration. Peter holds a degree from NTNU in structural engineering.

Jarle Ravnøy has worked for Equinor since 1994. He is currently Project Director for Fram Sør project. Previously he has held Project Director and Project Manager positions in several early phase development projects. Jarle holds a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.

Tore currently holds a position as Technical Manager in the Irpa subsea tie-back project. Tore background is mainly from Equinor’s project division, in discipline- and management roles for both subsea and topside projects. Tore M. Botne graduated with an M.Sc. in Engineering Cybernetics from NTNU in 2005, and joined Equinor in 2006.

Asbjørn Skoge is currently working as VP Development projects. He joined Eni Norge 01.09.2007 which subsequently became Vår Energi. He has 35 years of experience from the oil and gas industry. 10 years with Kværner, 10 years with Statoil/Equinor and 15 years with Eni Norge/Vår Energi. Most of his career he has worked within project development, but he has also been VP Operations in Eni Norge and head of Goliat Operations and District Manager for the Hammerfest office.

Tomas Mørch has worked for The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) since 1992. He is currently assistant director within license management, and has responsibility for exploration, development and production in the southern- and middle North Sea, from the Ekofisk area in south to the Oseberg area in the north. Previously he has held several leadership positions within different areas in NPD. He has reservoir management and reservoir engineering by education and background.

Tom is working as Principal Engineer with main focus on development projects for the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (Ptil) since 2019. He started as Reservoir Engineer at Åsgard in 1999 and later worked with well completion, as an upstream and downstream production engineer, maintenance manager, operations and maintenance manager offshore before he entered into the project world as a project manager. His main activity in projects has been commissioning, operational preparation and start-up.

Øystein has worked for Equinor since 2005. He is currently Head of Commercial and Portfolio, responsible for EPN portfolio, prioritization and optimization, Organic Business Development & Access. He is also an Asset Owner representative for early-phase projects and partner projects and is responsible for commercial activities. Øystein previously held leadership positions within several business areas in Equinor. He is an Economist by education.

Roddy has, within the last year, taken the position of Senior Vice President Engineering Consultancy, Aker Solutions based in Oslo. Engineering Consultancy will build upon Aker Solutions renowned technical capabilities in front-end engineering, broadening its services into a holistic techno-economic consultant helping its customers to navigate the complexities of the changing energy mix. Roddy has more than 30 years experience in energy, split between site based, engineering and consulting roles. Roddy is graduate of Glasgow University and an experienced Facilities Engineer with a background in control systems and functional safety.

Lars Moe joined Aker BP in January 2018. He has more than 30 years of comprehensive project management experience from the industry. Prior to Aker BP, Lars worked for 16 years for the oil company RWE Dea Norge with responsibility for operated field development projects and 10 years with projects and early phase field development for Aker Engineering (AkSO), and started his career after education with two years in the European aerospace industry. He has a Master's degree in cybernetics from NTH (now NTNU).

Øyvind started his career in the Norwegian Air Force and joined BP Norge as part of supply chain in 2008. He has held a variety of roles in supply chain covering both national and global projects including the start-up of Valhall re-development and Skarv. Most recently Øyvind was leading the supply chain function that established Aker BPs drilling and wells alliances. Following 15 years in supply chain he is now responsible for commercial and area development in the Skarv area. Øyvind holds a BSc in Petroleum Technology and MSc in Industrial Economics from the University of Stavanger and an MBA in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.

Kevin Best is a Concept Development Manager within Aker BP’s Alvheim asset with focus on technology and early phase concepts for asset value enhancement. Best began his career as an offshore construction engineer working on projects in the GoM, China, and Angola. Through continuation of education, Best migrated to reservoir engineering, specializing in integrated reservoir characterization and modelling and multi-disciplinary collaboration. In 2004, work brought Best to Norway where he has held several engineering and management roles in exploration, maturation of mature fields, and development of prospects from discovery to sanction. Best holds a BSc degree in mechanical engineering and an MSc in petroleum and natural gas engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

Thomas is a Product Champion for Subsea Planner at OneSubsea. He holds a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark and a M.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering from University of Tulsa. Thomas has been working for SLB for 20 years and has extensive experience in utilizing and developing digital solutions for collaborative field development planning.
