Local chapters and the local chapters committee

The chairs of the 11 local chapters collectively form our local affairs committee, a forum for exchanging views about activities at chapter level. This committee elects its own officers, and the chair sits ex officio on the executive committee.

The local chapters will

  • provide a forum for professional activity and development in the petroleum industry within their region
  • provide a forum for information and contact between members in their region
  • provide information about petroleum operations in their region
  • cooperate with other organisations in the region when this benefits our own professional activities
  • the local chapters elect their own officers.
