Optimism is back

This year’s Annual Petroleum Economics Conference proves that optimism is back in the industry.

With a record high attendance from a large group of companies the conference took place at Sola on 25-26th of September. The program covered a broad range of topics including outlook on the oil & gas market, overview of recent transactions on the NCS, various economics methodology presentations, case studies, macroeconomic outlook and an overview of how digitalization and technology trends will shape the future of the industry. As a social event on day 1 there was a beer tasting event with Lervig breweries followed by a conference dinner.

The mood in the conference was certainly good and the breaks and social event triggered lots of interesting discussions among the participants. The program committee concluded that the conference was a big success and the hard work of getting the best speakers and actively marketing the conference in various arenas paid off. NPF look forward to improving the conference even further and the main question for next year is whether we should move the conference back to Solstrand where it originally started? Until then, here are a few pictures from this year’s conference.
